EIGHT LIMBS OF YOGA

Yoga is not just about the physical practice of yoga asanas.  It is intended to be a way of living.  It is about understanding, embracing, and incorporating the core principles of yoga into our daily lives.

These core principles (a.k.a eight limbs of yoga) form the structural framework for the yoga practice.  According to Patanjali, the ultimate goal of practicing these eight limbs is to achieve self realization.  It is to free ourselves of physical and mental suffering, and we can reach higher fulfillment in life.  It is to understand our true purpose in life.
